Celebrate the Chinese New Year, a time of family reunions, with a discussion of the film, The Farewell by Lulu Wang, which portrays the joys and challenges of reuniting with your familial roots.

One week before we meet online, participants will be given a viewing resource with discussion questions and language learning components. Participants will screen the movie on their own, using the resource as a guide.
The virtual discussion will include language practice and answering questions. If you don’t have the chance to watch the movie beforehand, be aware of spoiler alerts, but join us anyway for Mandarin Chinese language practice and discussion around Chinese New Year and family.
